Here's what has been changed or added:

Everyone needs to be sure and check this release out as it's a winner!New Tank graphicsAnimated shield graphicsNew explosionsNew weaponsCollisions with stuffA new nifty sidebar to control your tankPlus a menubar to let you change some preferences! I'm already hard at work on the next release, and here are some things to look forward too...

Well that ought to keep everyone busy for a while, so check it out!Fading ExplosionsClearing of land with explosionsFalling land and tanksNew Dirt based weaponsMaybe even some speed improvements for those on slower machines (Time to upgrade?)
And as always, even though I am a Mad Fiend Java Hacker, some bugs to pop up from time to time. Be sure to use the project bug tracker at the SourceForge project page to help us out by reporting those pesky bugs. THANKS!

Java hacker Andy has made great progress with JScorch. Check out the screenshots. They don't show the animated shields or the smooth projectiles and explosions, but it's all there. He's even added a splash screen to show the loading progress at start up. 3 July 2002, 01:45
